1. CONFERENCE SCOPE

The 7th International Symposium on Application of Plasmas & Fine Bubbles to Agriculture, Aquaculture and Food Safety (7th ISPFB 2023), embedded the international symposium of the East Asia Fisheries Technologists Association (EAFTA) and the Food Society of Modern International Lifestyle Education (FSMILE), will be held at Iwate University, Morioka, Japan, May 17-20, 2023. This symposium is initiated further to provide an open forum for the introduction and discussion of the most current status of innovative scientific and technological achievements in the interdisciplinary versatile fields of plasma and fine bubbles applied to agriculture, aquaculture, and food safety. Since 2017, the symposium has been successfully held in Chieng Mai (twice, Thailand), Iwate (Japan), Ayutthaya (Thailand) and online for the fifth (hosted by Kyoto University) and sixth (hosted by Chinese Society of Particuology, Tongji University, Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of CAS, Donghua University, Southeast University and Hainan University together), and is becoming an influential academic event in East Asia. Topics will cover the latest theoretical and experimental developments related to plasma and fine bubbles and their potential applications in biological, environmental, agriculture, aquaculture, food safety, medical fields, and a host of other fields. In this context, this 7th ISPFB 2023 is again unique and most useful in developing rapidly emerging and innovative technologies relating to both high voltage, plasma and fine bubble technologies applied to agriculture, aquaculture, food safety and environmental engineering. A symposium will be provided to share the latest research achievements in the fields related to high voltage, plasma, and fine bubble R&D. Also, key note lectures with novel topics which draw more attention to high voltage, plasma, fine bubble-related R&D communities will no doubt provide more in-depth discussions and understandings on these related R&D directions.

2. OBJECTIVE OF CONFERENCE

  1. To disseminate latest research outputs among research communities that benefit the public at international levels.
  2. To provide the opportunities for developing academic leadership through their research presentations at this international symposium.

Applicants can present their research works either in the form of Oral Presentation, which can be divided into the 4 areas:

  1. Basic plasma science and technology for application to agriculture, aquaculture, and food safety.
  2. High voltage plasma bioscience and technologies for pre-harvest, post-harvest, and food safety.
  3. Fine bubble technologies for application to agriculture, aquaculture, and food safety.
  4. Innovative integrated fine bubble and high voltage plasma technologies for advanced application to agriculture, aquaculture, and food safety.

8. REGISTRATION FEE

Presentation at both 7th ISPF 2023, EAFTA and FSMILE is good by single payment. The “Regular participants” fee include lunch, coffee breaks, banquet during the conference and a conference kit. The “Full-time students” fee include lunch, coffee breaks during the conference and a conference kit. The “Accompanying persons” fee include lunch, coffee breaks, banquet during the conference. For participation only, registration fee is free.

  7th ISPFB 2023 committees encourage you to submit your manuscripts as a Special Issue “Application of Plasma and Pulsed Power Technology in Agriculture and Food Processing” in Agronomy (/Agronomy/ has received an increased IF of 3.417 (2020), ranking Q1 (16 of 91) in the “Agronomy” category and Q1(57 of 235) in the “Plant Sciences” category).
